Terrestrial ferns with erect or creeping rhizome covered with hairs or scales. Leaves uniform or subdimorphic, pinnately, rarely digitately divided; veins free or anastomosing. Sori submarginal, forming a confluent band along the veinlets connecting the vein ends and covered by the reflexed membranous leaf margin. Spores tetrahedral.
