Low perennials. Rhizome mostly short, with rusty scales. Leaves persistent, few or many, mostly tufted, erect to spreading, 1-3-pinnate or -cut, glabrous or hairy; veins free. Sori borne on the thickened ends of veins, about 0.5 mm., nearly orbicular, distinct or almost confluent; indusia (pseudo-indusia) formed by the deflexed, membranous, entire or fimbriate or finely tomentose margin of leaf segments.
