Bryum soboliferum is characterized by the lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate leaves (to 2 mm long), gradually long acuminate apex, recurved margin below, weak border (1 row of linear cells), and subpercurrent costa, generally ending below the acumen. The distinctive feature is the leaf apex.
