Plants medium-sized, green or yellowish green, in loose tufts or cushions. Stems 1.7–2.1 cm high, erect, dichotomously branched. Leaves appressed to erect-spreading, ovate-lanceolate to lanceolate, 1.9–2.2 mm × 0.4–0.5 mm, not keeled, acuminate, without a hairy-pointed apex; margins plane, entire; costae subpercurrent; upper leaf cells quadrate to rounded-quadrate, thick-walled, papillose; basal cells rectangular, 18–20 µm × 14–15 µm, smooth, thin-walled, gradually becoming quadrate toward margin. Dioicous? Inner perichaetial leaves not differentiated. Setae straight, ca. 6 mm long; capsules erect, elongate-pyriform, 8-ribbed when dry; peristome not seen.
