Notes:

Ecology: High montane forest to shrubby páramo; on branches of trees. Elevation: 3000 m. Distribution: Central America (Costa Rica, Guatemala), Colombia and southeast Brazil.
 
Ecología: Bosque montano alto a páramo; sobre ramas de arboles. Elevación: 3000 m. Distribución: Centroamérica (Costa Rica, Guatemala), Colombia y sudeste de Brasil.
 
Ochi (1980) compares this species with B. systylium. Brachymenium morasicum is characterized by the oblong-obovate or oblong-lingulate leaves, border absent above, present at midleaf and below with 1-2 cells, and the costa short excurrent.
 
Specimens: COLOMBIA. Cauca: Paramo de Moras, 3000 m, 3 Mar 1883, Lehmann 2653 (BM, holotype).
