Plants small and inconspicuous, gregarious or forming small tufts, yellowish-green to golden-yellow. Stems short and erect, 4-5 mm tall, few branched; radiculose at base, rhizoids rusty red, appearing smooth. Leaves progressively elongate from base (leaves at base ovate-acute, 0.2 mm long) to distally crowded, erect to erect-spreading, setaceous (subulate) from a short ± concave ovate base, 1.8-2.5 mm long, apex bluntly acute, margins entire; costae single, strong, excurrent; laminal cells of expanded base smooth, distally subquadrate to oblong-rectangular, 6-18 µm long, 4-8 µm wide, thick-walled; basal cells larger, oblong-rectangular, 20-30 µm long, 8-12 µm wide, thin-walled and lax. Autoicous. Perichaetia terminal; leaves larger than stem leaves, nearly as long as seta. Setae elongate, 2.2-2.6mm long, cygneous, distally twisted. Capsules somewhat pendent, urn ovoid-short cylindrical, 0.5-0.7 mm long, ribbed; stomata at urn base; annuli compound, to 110 µm long, exceeding length of peristome, outer row short, innermost row elongate, truncate or acute; opercula short rostrate, ca. 0.4 mm long; peristome single and reduced, papillose. Calyptrae mitrate-short campanulate, base lobed. Spores 8-12 µm in diameter, lightly ornamented.

Plantas pequeñas e inconspicuas, gregarias o formando manojos pequeños, verde-amarillentas a amarillo-doradas. Caliptra corto-mitrada campanulada, base lobada. Esporas de 8-12 µm de diámetro, levemente ornamentadas.
