Ecology: Montane forest to shrubby páramo and humid puna; on shrubs and branches of trees. Elevation: 1540-4000 m (Colombia: 3825 m, Ecuador: 1540-3500 m, Peru: 2460-4000 m, Bolivia: 3500 m). Distribution: Jamaica, tropical Andes (Colombia to Bolivia).
Ecología: Páramo arbustivo; sobre árboles y arbustos. Elevación: 1540-4000 m (Colombia: 3825 m, Ecuador: 1540-3500 m, Perú: 2460-4000 m, Bolivia: 3500 m). Distribución: Jamaica, Andes Tropicales (Colombia a Bolivia).
Acidodontium seminerve is distinguished by the closely imbricate, oblong-lanceolate to lanceolate leaves to 5 mm, very long acuminate apices ending in often flexuous hair point, weakly recurved margin at base, entire to distally slightly serrulate, costa typically ending well below the acuminate apex, seta to 40 mm, clavate capsules to 6 mm, and low conic to hemispheric apiculate operculum.
Acidodontium seminerve se distingue por las hojas estrechamente imbricadas, oblongo-lanceoladas a lanceoladas hasta 5 mm, ápices muy largo acuminados terminando a menudo en un tricoma flexuoso, margen débilmente recurvado en la base, entero a escasamente serrulado en la porción distal, costa típicamente terminando muy abajo del ápice acuminado, setas hasta 40 mm, cápsulas claviformes hasta 6 mm y opérculo apiculado cónico bajo a hemisférico.
