Acidodontium ramicola is distinguished by ovate to ovate-lanceolate leaves to 3.8 mm, long acuminate apices, strongly undulate leaf margins, costa below capillary point, seta to 30 mm, clavate capsules to 8.5 mm with slender neck, semi-hemispheric non-apiculate opercula. The report of this species for Bolivia based on a collection by Herzog (Jan 1908, s.n.) is A. heteroneuron.
